I2QS provides detailed analyses of the available infrastructure options to enable our customers to determine appropriate design and installation strategies.
In theory, “mix and match” solutions provide acceptable performance for the lowest cost without any ongoing responsibility on behalf of the client. At the opposite side of the spectrum, premium infrastructure solutions come at a price, with a performance guarantee and with a set of terms and conditions that underpin that guarantee. The basic question for an end-user is whether their administration systems allow the terms of the guarantee to be honored. If not, is the guarantee worth having?
We provide advice to our customers at the initial stages of installation specification – including analysis of competing solutions together with the restrictions on their use (based upon current and forthcoming standards). The proposed installation practices are reviewed regarding any impact on other building services, such as the architectural design and mains power installations. Once the basic decisions have been taken, I2QS creates highly detailed technical and operating specifications for the telecommunications infrastructures.
I2QS undertakes technical and contractual inspections against its own Installation Specifications or against those produced by third parties. Typical areas requiring inspection are balanced and optical fiber cabling performance and the quality of installation procedures. Inspections can also be extended to cover reliability-related issues, such as cabinet design/layout and the effectiveness of operating controls in the procurement and utilization of the channel components (patch and equipment cords etc.).
I2QS has a strong co-operation with world leading testing and certification tools manufacturers, and third-party laboratories, providing in the European and the Greek market accurate and reliable test results. In addition to a range of testing, I2QS offers expert assessments and consulting in interpretation of test results, as well as evaluation whether materials fulfill project requirements and specifications.
